It’s good to see some events starting up again even though numbers of participants are still very restricted. Our friends Mary and David were married in Kirkandrews Kirk on April16th on a sunny spring afternoon.

Chilly Day at Craig Cottage
We had a rare dusting of snow down to sea level at Craig Cottage in January.
Advent in Borgue
The Borgue Community celebrated Advent in 2020 with seasonal themed displays around the parish. You can see all of the participants on the Borgue Community web site.
Castle Haven Vegetation Clearing
We had a work party with the Gatehouse Volunteers and a few locals to clear out a lot of the overgrown vegetation around the Iron-Age fort at Castle Haven near Kirkandrews.
Kirkandrews Kirk Carol Service
The Kirkandrews Kirk candlelit carol service takes place on the last Sunday before Christmas. This year’s service was very well attended with over 50 people packed into the wee kirk. Here’s Rev. Val Ott leading the service and the singing.
Kirk Windows
The “wee kirk” in Kirkandrews has some very interesting windows, glazed with hand-made glass when the kirk was built back in 1906.
There’s also an interesting little spy-hole in the door that looks out to the entrance gateway.
